Princess Brooke Tea Party

Another long but exciting weekend at the Sylvestre's house.  For Easter we celebrated our daughter Brooke's 6th birthday party.  She wanted her theme to be a " Barbie Merliah Summers."  I made all the decorations  tailored for her special party theme.  Every time I plan a party for my kids, I tell everyone enjoy it because it's the last one.  The preparation and details are sometimes overwhelming. On the day when I see how happy the kids are I forget about all the work. lol!  In tandem with her mermaid theme, we decided to give each child a fish.  The day before the party I drove to 4 different PetSmart trying to catch the sale as each store had a limited selection of beta fish available .  Brooke wanted the party to include things she likes to do and share those joys with her friends.  So we created a "Brooke Day Spa" activities where all her friends can come in and have their nails, makeup done and can also accessorize while waiting in line.  The boys (chefs) were supposed  to join Executive chef  Daddy with making pizzas in the out door brick oven.  During the party the boy chefs forgot they were suppose to make pizzas by the distraction of the moon bounce.

The party was awesome, God gave us BEAUTIFUL weather on Saturday and it was just really good seeing family and friends.  Life is so precious and getting together once in a while to see people before they die is so important.  Best to do it while they are alive and stop just meeting for gathering like funerals/weddings. lol

Special thanks for Chef Dean coming out to assist Executive Daddy chef with the event we could not have been ready without his help.  Thanks to everyone else who helped us prepare and the clean up crew - when family gets together amazing things can happen.  Thanks for the tasty foods from Negril- Silver Spring, MD , Caribbean Palace - Takoma Park and off course from Executive chef's kitchen.
