Dear God
Thank you for my life and always being in my corner. Nothing could be done without your presence. Nothing happens before it's time and you never give me more than I can bare. Amen
I have a short list of things that I am especially thankful for.
1. Thank you for my life, health and strength.
2. Thank you for my family and friends that I have in my life to love, share and be loved.
3. Thank you for protecting and guiding my family especially my adult son who has some tough
decisions ahead.
4. Thank you for allowing me to have a home with food on the table and to be able to give thanks in
comfort instead of those less fortunate who may be standing in a shelter (although still thankful)
like the many people affected by Hurricane Sandy.
5. Thank you for allowing me to still have a job. And the ability to come home and complain about
how stressful a day it has been.
The best thing about thankgiving is it forces people to stop and thank God for their blessings. The food is nice but more important than the food is the sense of family, the giving and the sharing. What better way to start the holiday season than with the selfless act of feeding and/or eating with others. This is the time of year other than a funeral or wedding that you can count on seeing family, children get to play with cousins they haven't seen , aunts and uncles can comment on how much everyone has change/grown. It's a time of geniue reflection and adoration.
Happy Thanksgiving from my family to yours. Love J
